The way home & Hell's Gate

On the way back home to the Netherlands we first had to drive for about 8 hours (including stops) from Williams Lake to Vancouver Airport. The surroundings change multiple times along the way and the greatest views pass by, but stopping too often or taking pictures from a driving car are not really my thing. So here are the views from a stop at Cache Creek and of course a lot of photos from our visit to Hell's Gate. We could think of really only two reasons not to visit Hell's Gate, which would be a fear of either heights or airtrams (or both). Anyway, we loved it! Great views, roaring water sounds and also there was some information on the history of this particular spot in the Fraser River. At Simon's Café the food wasn't awful or too expensive (but not very good or particularly cheap either...), but the Airtram-ride was definitely pricey. But hey, we were on a holiday!

A must-see if you every drive past it, that's for sure.

That concludes my series of photos from our vacation in BC, Canada in 2019. It was actually a lot of fun going through all the pictures every couple of days/weeks and relive it again.

Thanks again to my Canadian family for helping make this the greatest trip ever, it was unforgettable!
