Wow, just wow... We were warned that the Plitvice Lakes would be amazing, but to walk around this gorgeous park in Croatia exceeded all our expectations.
Waterfalls, blue / teal lakes, trees, plants, rocks, caves, everything was there! I even saw a small water snake swimming by. I wasn't able to get a good picture of it unfortunately.
After spending a day walking around this beautiful park (and taking some buses from one point to the other, I must admit), it was good to relax at the nearby apartment where we stayed for two nights. The last photo is the view we had from the garden next to our apartment.
We were lucky to be able to enjoy a vacation this year, despite the whole Covid-19-/Corona-pandemic and Croatia. We booked the trip way before anyone in Europe knew about the virus and when we went there in July, Croatia was still considered a safe place to travel to.
